Paying Attention

Yesterday at Church, I learned why it’s important to pay attention when people are talking at you. Near the end of the service, I started thinking less about the sermon, and more about Donuts and Chili. At some point, the pastor asked a question and raised his hand. My hand began to instinctively follow. It was then that I noticed that not one other person in the congregation was moving their arms skyward.

Apparently, the question (Who wants to invite Satan into their lives?) had been rhetorical, and was not intended to get people jumping up and down in affirmation.
