They didn’t ask my shoe size.

So I had interviews 4,5,6 and 7 for the Business Objects job this past Friday. I think that by this point the only thing left to know is my shoe size, and favourite colour. Most of the interview went well, except for the short technical portion (interview #4) which was a re-hash of some of the less fun classes in my degree.

The administrative interview (#5) consisted of staple questions like: What do you do in your free time? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Explain a time when you missed a deadline, and what did you do? How do you keep track of your schedule? etc. That went smoothly. By this point I was relaxed enough that I was able to explain my time management system in terms of igloo production.

Interview #6 was my favourite. It was an hour long process to analyze how I would fit in with the development team Otherwise known as lunch. Thai food, and lots of talk about Halo 2. Last, back to the office for interview #7 which mostly involved talk about benefits, start times etc.

I won’t hear back about the whole thing for a couple of days. Supposedly, I’ll know for sure by Wednesday. If everything goes well, then I will start working in Vancouver around the middle of January

I’ve got my fingers crossed.
